Ages 5 and up Learn what it means to be Jewish through a tour of Lloyd Street Synagogue, the first synagogue constructed in Maryland (1845) and the third oldest still standing in the country. Explore the ritual garments, Hebrew language, and sacred objects used while in a historic synagogue. Check out our archaeological excavations, including both a matzah oven and a mikveh (ritual bath). Decorate a kippah (head-covering) to take home.
