He will discuss the importance of a well written will, special needs trusts and other legal instruments as tools to help ensure a secure financial future for a loved one with disabilities. He will offer advice to help parents select a guardian for their child. He also will describe issues to consider when their disabled child reaches the age of 18, including whether to secure guardianship, and will discuss types of guardianship available in New Jersey.
