Our guest lecturer, Bill Messenger will take us on a tour of Astaire’s early days on the Vaudeville and Broadway circuit to his amazing dance routines with Ginger Rogers and on to his awarding-winning television shows.

Bill Messenger studied at the Peabody Conservatory and learned from Nadia Boulanger (teacher to Aaron Copland). He has been called “a cross between Max Morath and Victor Borge” by music critic Robert Lippman.
