Tonight's film is set in 1964, the mission for 3 Mossad agents is to capture “The Surgeon of Birkenau”. Rachel poses as a patient of the Nazi monster, now a gynecologist, to gain his trust. The plan works, the team kidnaps him and takes him to a safe house. They take turns watching their prisoner. While under Rachel’s shift, he manages to escape. Thirty years later, Rachel is a famous author and national hero, when she hears the news that the “Surgeon” is alive in the Ukraine. The Debt is a psychological and spellbinding espionage thriller with a fascinating story and a powerful cast led by Gila Almagor.
