Sunday, February 3rd - Film A Czech peasant is torn between greed and guilt when the Nazi-backed bosses of his town appoint him “Aryan controller” of a Jewish widow’s button shop. The widow is played by the great Yiddish actress Ida Kaminska. The film won an Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1965. (125 min; B&W; Czech/Slovak.) Purchase the film from our bookstore. 2 p.m. Cost: $6
