Since its founding in 1964 by Martha Graham and Baroness Batsheva de Rothschild, Batsheva has become one of the most influential cultural role models in Israel. The company’s award-winning Artistic Director, Ohad Naharin, has launched Batsheva into a new era in which its artistic integrity and innovation have earned the company its reputation as one of the most inspirational and sought after in the world – a true champion on the global map of performing arts. In Naharin’s original work Max, superb ensemble work produces “truly touching new ways to perceive the body” (The Jerusalem Post).
