Sun 5 Oct, 7 am-9:30 pm. Join the JCC’s own Rabbi Micah Becker-Klein on a glimpse into your family’s heritage. Arrive at Battery Park and catch the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You will have several hours to explore, read and absorb all of the items at both of these National Monuments. The main building on Ellis Island is a museum dedicated to the history of immigration and you will have the opportunity to research your family’s roots. Cafeterias are located on Liberty Island and Ellis Island for lunch on your own. Late afternoon, you will be provided with ample time for dinner on your own in Little Italy. Trip will include visits to three different wineries where you will tour the facilities and have the opportunity to sample nearly thirty award-winning wines.
