Tonight's film is about two young women becoming friends at a religious seminary for women in Sfad. Naomi wants to immerse herself in religious studies before committing to an arranged marriage. Michelle, on the other hand, has a colorful and defiant personality. Their chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor (Fanny Ardant) and with an outer, modern world, triggers a difficult awakening for both friends. In their desire to help Anouk, the ailing neighbor, and in the quest for their own identity, they form a special and beautiful alliance.
