This is a lecture by Dr. David B. Starr. Abraham Lincoln still ranks as one of the greatest presidents and Americans in our nation's history. Jews identified with him in their search for freedom and equality. This talk focuses on the ways in which Jews understood themselves and America through their readings of Lincoln's life and work.
