The community is invited to join Beth Am Synagogue in the serene, natural setting of the Waterfowl Pavilion at the Maryland Zoo to welcome Shabbat in music and song with Rabbi Daniel Cotzin Burg and Cantor Ira Greenstein. Services will be held on Friday night June 24 and August 5 at 6 pm.
Families are invited to bring their own dairy or fish dinners. A special program is scheduled at 6:40 pm for families with children 9 and under. Kabbalat Shabbat Services will begin at 7 pm. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required. To make reservations, send an email to
