Start with dinner at Central Market, then stroll around the pond toward the famous 37th Street neighborhood. This short walk is worth it -- whether you've seen it before, always wondered about it, or never heard of it. Obviously motivated by the season, quintessential Austin residents (or those pressured by the neighbors) create light art like you probably have not seen anywhere else. Consider this an "interfaith outreach event"!

Let's hope the amazing backyard display of household objects has returned this year. Regardless, this is a great way to saunter into the vicinity of Amy's Ice Cream! If you're too chilly for ice cream, try their freshly whipped cream on top of a cozy hot cocoa!
