This highly acclaimed touring ensemble from Boston will stay with JCC families overnight and will perform on Sunday at Ellis Island and The Museum of the City of New York.
An American Journey is hailed as a “moving celebration of the immigration experience.” It begins with a sea voyage; Eastern European Jews, Irish and Italians meet and share their stories, songs and dances, then land in the Great Hall at Ellis Island and prepare to begin a new life. The talented cast of forty includes teens and children, all with gorgeous voices, accompanied by top notch Klezmer musicians.
