Restoring the Tapestry of the Boston Jewish Experience

On Sunday, March 18, 2007, the BCJH will open our first homegrown exhibit, Restoring the Tapestry of the Boston Jewish Experience. This exhibit will tell the story of the Boston Jewish community: how Boston’s early Jews worshipped and celebrated, lived and worked, moved from neighborhood to neighborhood, and built a foundation for Judaism and culture in our city. The exhibit also looks at the traditional ways that Jews teach and learn, how our ancestors “turned, turned, and turned again” the words of the Torah, the Talmud and other Jewish texts, and how this way of learning has uniquely influenced our culture.
