Thursday, January 17th - Workshop What kind of leader was Moses? How is the biblical narrative approach his qualities and defects? 7:00 P.M. Ilan Stavans, the Lewis-Sebring Professor in Latin American and Latino Culture at Amherst College, presents a series of lectures on Bible stories in conjunction with the exhibit, The People's Book, focusing on their literary structure, style, and resonances, reflecting on these tales not as religion but as story-telling. Pre-registration for the series is suggested.
