Sunday, March 2 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. One of the few documentaries to explore the experieneces of Jewish-American veterans of World War II, From Philadelphia to the Front focuses on six Philadelphia veterans, now in their 80s. The vets reflect on their individual experiences and on the personal significance of the "war to defeat Hitler." This film artfully incorporates personal photographs and rare archival footage, including Jewish soldiers celebrating Shabbat and Passover during wartime and the first Jewish service at Dachau after it was liberated.
