On May 16, 2007, the Crossroads Film Society will present "Venus." Oscar nominated Peter O'Toole stars as a veteran actor who develops a friendship with a brash teenager played by Jodie Whittaker. Maurice and Ian are a pair of actors who never hit the big time. Now in their "golden years" they continue to work, though the jobs are far from glamorous. But their comfortable routine and witty banter over breakfast in a favorite cafe is disrupted by the arrival of Ian's grand-niece, Jessie. Rated R.
