Film Screening Sunday November 2, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. First Lessons in Peace is about a six-year-old girl, the director’s daughter, who attends the mixed Arab-Jewish primary school Neveh Shalom (The Oasis of Peace). Neveh Shalom, the first school of its kind in Israel, provides children from different backgrounds with an educational framework for learning together. The film follows the girl’s struggles during her first year in school and explores her awakening awareness of the reality of the conflict in the Middle East. Admission is $5.00 for JMM members/non-members: $15.00 (includes Museum admission). Reservations are required.
