The Life and Death of Hannah Senesh Dallas Premiere Documentary - 86 minutes USA 2008 In English Combining reenactments, interviews and archival materials, this inspiring documentary commemorates the life of the Hungarian poet and resistance fighter who is a national heroine in Israel. Encountering anti-Semitism in her high school years in Budapest, she enlisted in a wartime mission to liberate Hungarian Jews. Parachuting behind enemy lines, Senesh was captured, tortured and ultimately executed by Nazis. Narrated by Oscar-nominee Joan Allen. A Silly Mixed Up Fairy Tale that's what. Students must break the spell placed on the princess by following clues such as finding a red cape with a hood and a giant's golden spool. While doing so, they will meet some of their favorite storybook characters and discover a new way of looking at some old classics. "It was full of energy and engaging. But before they can deliver him to Israel a tragic blunder provides his escape. Unable to confess their failure, the agents fake The Surgeon's death and return to Israel as national heroes. Thirty years later, The Surgeon resurfaces in the Ukraine, ready to confess to his war crimes.
