NEW Filmmakers Weekend Director: Nicole Opper Date 2009 Country USA R/T 78 minutes Sunday, May 2, 2010, 1pm $8 in advance, $10 at the door Adopted by two Jewish Lesbians, Avery is an African-American girl living with two adopted brothers: one Korean and one multi-racial. The film follows Avery's emotional search for her birth mother at a time of personal conflict with her Jewish/Black identity. The film is touring festivals throughout the United States.
