Holy Rollers reinvents this incident, using New York City as a backdrop and a temptress to lure Sam Gold (Jesse Eisenberg of The Social Network, Solitary Man and Roger Dodger), an obedient Hasidic Jew frustrated with his faith, sexual naïveté and waning fnances. Despite his better judgement, Sam jumps at the chance to make more money. Once shorn of payos, tefillin and “Orthodox godfathers,” Sam abandons the arcane world of his childhood to find another one, even more demanding and scary. Inspired by a true coming-of-age story g
