Deadly Medicine Lecture Series - Complicity & Resistance in a Controlled Society Thursday, February 17, 2011 | 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM Complicity & Resistance in a Controlled Society This lecture explores the decision to comply with and the decision to resist the established order from the perspectives of business, sociology, literature, philosophy, the military, and the sciences.


The segregated U.S. south; the so-called dirty war, with its “disappeared,” in the southern cone of Latin America; the Soviet Union; present day Mexico, with its drug wars; Nazi Germany—
these are some of the societies which will be discussed.
