Our September 2011 monthly food distribution will take place on Sunday, September 11th at 10:00 AM. On this tenth anniversary of 9/11, we will honor and remember the victims of that tragic day with a special program where we will transform our deep thoughts and emotions into action.

Ten years ago, JRA was just beginning to bring about change in the Greater Philadelphia area. Now, with a network of over 12,500 volunteers providing vital food support to over 2,950 low income families in the Greater Philadelphia region, we continue our commitment to ending the problems of hunger and food insecurity in our community. Although we will never match the courage of the New York City first responders, the passengers of United Flight 93, or the many others who selflessly gave their lives for their fellow Americans that day, we can strive to emulate their patriotism and compassion for their neighbors and fellow Americans through our commitment to volunteering and improving our community. In today’s economic climate, our work carries more weight than ever before.
