The Tango 101 course for those new to Tango and all others wishing to solidify and deepen their understanding of tango.

(If you are an experienced Tango dancer and bring in one or more paying beginners that you want to mentor - or not -, you can attend for free.)

Objective: Introduce you to the art of dancing tango socially and enable you to enjoy dancing at a milonga (gathering where tango is danced socially)

Course is thought in 10 2-hour sessions with extra times for practice. All elements of tango and all techniques are explored in each session with more and more rigor devoted to them, as appropriate for the concept studied as the course progresses. This syllabus is a guide for the course and is subject to change depending on the progress the class makes.

Towards the end of the course, you will be invited to attend Milonga Pavadita. At the end of the course, you will show what you have learned at the Milonga Pavadita.

No partner necessary. We will make all efforts to match the students gender-wise.

Dubravko Kakarigi has been dancing tango since 2004. He has been teaching since 2006. Dubravko studied with many renown teachers in the US and in Buenos Aires (among others: Ana Maria Schapira, Mimi Santapa, Susana Miller, Maria Plazaola, Cacho Dante, Julio Balmaceda and Corina dela Rosa, Pedro “Tete” Rusconi, Jorge Torres, Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart, Santiago Croce). He travels to Buenos Aires yearly and to many festivals and gatherings in the US to expand his tango.See More.
