Wed 30 Jul, 7:30-9:30 pm. Join us for a beginner level contra dance with the Improper Contraband and caller Tony Dickens. No previous dance experience necessary, come with or without a partner. The Improper Contraband hosts gender-free, queer-accepting, body-positive, dances where all are accepted and encouraged to dance in a fun, safe space. We are interested in introducing contra to youth culture and creating community through traditional music and dance in Gainesville. BYOB. Donations for the CMC accepted at the door.
