We will do individual exercises and partner activities to understand this improvisational dance! We will explore various concepts of connection (to oneself, to the music, to the dance partner, to the dance floor, to other social dancers).
Parking is available on campus after 5 pm.
What to wear? If you own a pair of salsa shoes, jazz/ballet flats, or Toms, those work great. If not, bring a thick pair of socks to dance in. Partner Dance? You are welcome to join with or without a partner. Those who come alone will be paired up.

Wed 2 Nov 2016, 7-8 pm. This is an ongoing class. No prior experience in Hip-Hop is needed. Starts from the beginning, covering all of the basics. The music is great and the class is fun.
Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. Background includes TV commercials, halftime performances for NBA, commercial shots for Vogue, performances at the Kravis Center, Gusman Center, Tennessee Performing and Miami Arena among others. Dance forms taught include ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary West African, Graham, Limon, Horton and Musical Theatre. In the Social Dancing class you will learn how to dance with a partner. You will learn some simple things to do in two or three dances you can use at social occasions. Dances will be determined by who attends. Dances may be Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Merengue, Nightclub Two Step, Rumba, Waltz.
These classes cater to new dancers, that is those people who have never danced before. These are social dance classes. The focus is on having fun, while you learn to dance with a partner. You build your confidence in a non-judgmental atmosphere. No one tells anyone else what to do.
Safety comes first. These are gentle classes. There is no pushing and no pulling. Everyone does their own dancing.
No experienced needed. Good for any beginning dancers, as well as experienced dancers who want to improve their basics or just come out and dance. There is a lot of dance time.

Continuing two awesomely fun dances. The exhilarating Hustle. This is the dance that kept partner dancing alive during the 1970s and 1980s. Hustle inspired the cool moves you see in Salsa. Hustle helps you learn precision and turning.
Swing is the most versatile of the partner dances. We dance to the great music of the classic swing and jazz era as well as lots of newer music up to contemporary times. You dance at a comfortable speed. Swing is a great dance for learning musicality and improvisation.

$75 for six Mondays (one night free), or
$120 for six Mondays and six Thursdays (four nights free), or

Swing is the most versatile of the partner dances. We dance to the great music of the classic swing and jazz era as well as lots of newer music up to contemporary times. You dance at a comfortable speed. Swing is a great dance for learning musicality and improvisation.

Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. Background includes TV commercials, halftime performances for NBA, commercial shots for Vogue, performances at the Kravis Center, Gusman Center, Tennessee Performing and Miami Arena among others. In the Social Dancing class you will learn how to dance with a partner. You will learn some simple things to do in two or three dances you can use at social occasions. Dances will be determined by who attends. Dances may be Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Merengue, Nightclub Two Step, Rumba, Waltz.
These classes cater to new dancers, that is those people who have never danced before. These are social dance classes. The focus is on having fun, while you learn to dance with a partner. You build your confidence in a non-judgmental atmosphere. No one tells anyone else what to do.
Safety comes first. These are gentle classes. There is no pushing and no pulling. Everyone does their own dancing.
No experienced needed. Good for any beginning dancers, as well as experienced dancers who want to improve their basics or just come out and dance. There is a lot of dance time.

Enter this class with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and socialize with other dancers. If you do not have dance shoes, bring comfortable shoes. You can use any type of ballroom dance shoes; jazz, leather sole or shoes with suede soles.
Rationale:
Dancing should be fun and carefree. I am a passionate dancer, for me living does not exist without rhythm or moving one’s body. Continuing two awesomely fun dances. The exhilarating Hustle. This is the dance that kept partner dancing alive during the 1970s and 1980s. Hustle inspired the cool moves you see in Salsa. Hustle helps you learn precision and turning.
Swing is the most versatile of the partner dances. We dance to the great music of the classic swing and jazz era as well as lots of newer music up to contemporary times. You dance at a comfortable speed. Swing is a great dance for learning musicality and improvisation.
Cost:
$75 for six Mondays (one night free), or
$120 for six Mondays and six Thursdays (four nights free), or
$15 per night.

Wed 30 Nov 2016, 7-8 pm. This is an ongoing class. No prior experience in Hip-Hop is needed. Starts from the beginning, covering all of the basics. The music is great and the class is fun.
Mr. Dingle is an experiences dancer, instructor and choreographer. A graduate of Keiser University and Dreyfoos School of the Arts, he received further training from Julliard, Alvin Ailey, Tennessee Ballet and Howard University. Background includes TV commercials, halftime performances for NBA, commercial shots for Vogue, performances at the Kravis Center, Gusman Center, Tennessee Performing and Miami Arena among others. Dance forms taught include ballet, pointe, pas de deux, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary West African, Graham, Limon, Horton and Musical Theatre.
