As a resident camp volunteer she served at the following parks: Salton Sea State Park, California: Led bird walks and kayak tours and worked in the visitors' center. Patagonia Lake State Park, Arizona: Led bird walks and pontoon boat tours while discussing the area's history and its birds and wildlife. Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, North Carolina: Led bird walks and talks and worked in the visitors' center. Grand Portage National Monument, Minnesota: In period costume, demonstrated the history and daily life of the fur traders and Ojibwe Indians. Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge: Assisted with bird surveys by boat in King's Bay and on Egmont Key, worked in the visitor center, interpreted on the boardwalk at Three Sisters, and led bird and wetland tours at Three Sisters Springs. She currently serves as a volunteer at the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge: compiling a checklist of the birds at Three Sisters Springs, leading bird walks, and interpreting on the boardwalk.
