Seed School in a Day

Sun 22 Apr, 10 am-3 pm. Wouldn’t it be neat if you could develop your very own garden vegetable varieties? What excites you? Milder mustards, bigger pumpkins, tastier tomatoes, or hotter peppers?! Wouldn't it be awesome to save enough of your own seeds, so you don’t need to buy them each year? Well you can! Join us for a mini crash course all about seeds for southern growers. Learn about selecting the right varieties, conducting your own trials and experiments, and saving seed to improve varieties. You can do it! Local experts are here to help! This is our second time teaching an in-depth workshop that will inspire you to improve the food we grow in North Florida, by getting the knowledge and tools you need to help create a more resilient and adapted seed bank for the south. $25 donation to help cover our costs and support our continued work to save seeds in our community. Tickets via www.memberplanet.com. Grow Hub, 2900 NE 8 Avenue, Gainesville, 32641. 352-260-4458. Working Food - [facebook][email][events]
