Ongoing Thursdays, 7:30-10:30 pm. Gainesville Swing Dancing every Thursday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, you can find us at the Rosa B Williams Center. We kick off the night with a one-hour beginner lesson, followed by two hours of social dancing in a beautiful, air-conditioned hardwood dance hall.
We cannot wait to hit the dance floor with all of you.
No partner or experience needed.
Parking:
Free street parking is available in front of or beside the building, as well as in the nearby Friends of the Library lot.
Admission:
Free, donations encouraged via cash or Venmo.

Sat 3 Aug 2019, 8:30-11:30 pm. Florida Swing Dancing Club invites you all to join us again this Saturday in the Dance Studios located on the Lower Level of the Reitz Union for some swing dancing.
This event is completely free so come check it out if you have not. You may come alone or with a group of friends. Coming with a dance partner is not necessary and no prior dance experience is required.
Parking is free and is available at the Reitz Union Parking Garage and in the parking lot directly outside.

Join us at the Hipp Lower Level for swing dancing lessons taught by the Florida Swing Dancing Club! Classes are every Tuesday at 7 p.m. and only cost $5.
Throughout the summer, we will be exploring concepts that are fundamental to Lindy Hop - such as pulse, rhythm, and connection - so that you can take your dancing to the next level.

Sun 25 Aug 2019, 1:45-3:45 pm. The Lindy Hop bug can be quite the terror once you've been afflicted. Maybe it's your competitive nature that drives you to expand your skills past a one-hour beginner lesson. Perhaps it's your desire to form deeper friendships among one of the most compassionate, accepting communities in the world. Or maybe you just want to be able to better communicate your art on the dance floor with your partner and share your style with the most experienced dancers.
Join our Teaching Director, Zack Buchillon, as he shares his extensive experience in the form of a thoughtful, engaging lesson series. Zack has attended a large number of different workshops where he has learned from and engaged with many of the most renowned international Lindy Hop instructors of our time! We welcome you to explore with other students and dive into the rich culture and history of the dance we are lucky to partake in.
