Intro to Contact Dance

Experience what it feels like to move through space in response to gravity, momentum, and inertia.

This workshop will cover the foundations of contact improvisation. Contact improvisation is a partner-based movement practice involving connection, flow, rhythm, timing, supporting, and being supported. The goal is for dancers to become more attuned to their center and to the subtleties of touch.

Justin will share introductory contact points, supportive structures, and the process of push in pull in partner movement.

Come as you are, no experience or partner is necessary!
