Nia Holistic Movement with Sarit

Ongoing Wednesdays, 12:15-1:15 pm. Join Sarit for weekly outdoor Nia classes at the Thomas Center Gardens. Nia is a low-impact movement technique, inspired by dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices. Nia is easily adaptable to all levels of fitness and experience. Nia creates a playful and powerful experience, boosting pleasure, strength, mobility, stability, and overall well-being. Small group classes are facilitated in a relaxed, welcoming, and non-judgmental atmosphere. Fri 6 Dec, 4:30-5:30 pm. Join Sarit for SloMo Movement, a unique new offering that invites you to slow down and move mindfully. Inspired by tai chi, yoga, and the Nia Technique, this session offers a gentle movement flow guided by your body’s sensations and the surrounding environment. After the movement, we’ll transition into a short sitting meditation. Set in the serene gardens of the Thomas Center, under the shade of a majestic oak tree, this Friday afternoon session is the perfect way to unwind and ease into your weekend. Bring a yoga mat or blanket, a meditation cushion if you have one, and a bottle of water. Open to all—no prior experience required.
