The Song of Songs - The Honeybee in the Garden Debra Band's exhibition, The Song of Songs - The Honeybee in the Garden, showcases a contemporary illuminated manuscript illustrating The Song of Solomon's lyrical love poetry, expressing sensual yearning, the beauty of nature and the land, and an allegorical interpretation of the relationship between bride (the people of Israel) and groom (God). Accompanying the illuminations are wall texts with translations of The Song of Songs by David Band, who combined the most current linguistic and archaeological scholarship with a close fidelity to the original Hebrew grammar and phrasing.
