Reform Chavurah

Ongoing Fridays, 5:40-6:40 pm. Sussman Lounge. Contact: Jen Heilbronner and Jennifer Shields The Reform Chavurah at Yale is a group of enthusiastic, spirited, and thoughtful Reform Jews who get together Friday nights to participate in student-run services. Over the course of the year, students take turns writing creative services, leading services, leading Torah study, and song leading. All Yale students, faculty, and members of the New Haven community are welcome, both those who are practicing Reform Jews and those who are curious about the religion. Egalitarian (Conservative) Minyan

Ongoing Fridays, 5:45 pm. Beit Midrash. Various weekdays, Saturday evenings Contact: Alexandra Bicks, Benjamin Siegel The Conservative/Egalitarian minyan at Yale is a student lead, student organized service that is held on Shabbat and during the week. It is an egalitarian service (men and women participate equally) and open to people of all backgrounds. Everyone is encouraged to participate and can learn to lead services, read Torah and Haftorah or give a d'var Torah (commentary on the weekly Torah portion). Weekday services are held one evening and one morning a week, depending on student schedules. Downtown (Egalitarian Saturday Morning) Minyan

Ongoing Saturdays, 10 am. Contact: Becca Boggs, Shira Weidenbaum The Downtown Minyan is a Saturday morning egalitarian service for students, faculty and members of the greater New Haven community. Shabbat services start at 10:00, but start at 9:30 when Shabbat and a Holiday coincide. We begin Shacharit, the core of the morning service, by 10am during term and 10:30am outside of term. Orthodox Minyan

Ongoing Other, 7:30 am. Shacharit: Daily, Mincha, Maariv: Daily, seasonally variable Shabbat Services: Announced weekly.t: Joshua Baraban, Robbie Samstein, Noam Greenberg. The Orthodox minyan holds services daily in the morning and afternoon as well as on Shabbat. All are welcome to join in the traditional service and comraderie.
