The Bureau Library

Ongoing Other. The Bureau Library, a full-service lending library, is the Jewish resource for the Jewish and general community. The Library offers books and information covering the entire spectrum of Judaism and the Jewish experience. It provides resources for educators on curriculum development, classroom management issues and Judaic content. The Library provides patrons with materials such as books, periodicals, videos and posters, as well as consultation on curriculum and planning. The Library is widely used by Havurot and adult learners throughout the community. The Library is open during regular Bureau business hours. The Creativity Center

Ongoing Other. The Creativity Center provides programs and resources for our teachers and our community to learn and share ideas in a supportive and exciting environment. In the Creativity Center, one will find a media center, a Hebrew programmed computer with internet connections, state-of-the-art educational equipment and more. Educators from all religious streams join together in preparing creative educational materials, lesson plans, curricula, games, displays and bulletin boards. Teachers further develop their professional skills by attending workshops or drop in for a one-on-one consultation. The Jewish Educators Corps

Ongoing Other. The Jewish Educators Corps is designed for students at Brown University and RISD who teach in local Jewish schools. It meets over dinner about twice a month when Brown is in session and is open to a limited number of participants. Sessions are usually held on campus. Participants receive a stipend. This pilot project is co-sponsored by Brown-RISD Hillel, National Hillel, and JESNA. It is largely funded by grants from the Crown Family Foundation. 130 Sessions Street, Providence, 02906. The Morim Program

Ongoing Other. The Morim Program, a monthly class for teachers who have taught three years or less, is designed to strengthen classroom skills and foster peer support. Participants receive a stipend.
