Ongoing Saturdays, 9:20 am. Our Torah Study group this year takes an indepth look at a book that has perhaps had more infl uence over the centuries than any other in the biblical canon. Daring and controversial, the Book of Job tells of a pious believer reduced to suffering. It calls to question the extent of his faith, and for the modern reader it provokes conversation as to the depth of his or her own. Join us for an interactive hour of lively discussion. Newcomers are encouraged. The class is perfect for those schooled in biblical material as well as for those who are just beginning their studies. (Keva = 1). Ongoing Other, 9:40 am. Selected Sundays. Introduction To Judaism A hands-on course that introduces beginners to the basics of Jewish thought and practice. The class presents a mix of study, discussion and practical experiences designed for all interested in exploring Jewish life - Jews looking for adult-level basics, interfaith couples, non-Jewish partners desiring a better understanding of Judaism and the Jewish community, and those considering conversion to Judaism.
