Adult Education

Ongoing Tuesdays. Kick-off the Fall Semester of Tuesday evening Adult Education in October. Each evening is preceded by a Ma’ariv minyan at 7:00pm. At 7:30pm, Temple Sholom and Greenwich UJA/Federation present guest speakers: Rabbi Zvi Blanchard, Ahuva Gray and Amen Ness. Thursdays

Thursday Lunch and Learn

Ongoing Thursdays, 12-1 pm. This full-year course is for the person who has never been Bar/Bat Mitzvah, for a parent whose child is preparing for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or for one who feels that he/she would like a more general knowledge of Jewish skills. Participants will develop their Hebrew skills with an emphasis on prayerbook reading. In addition, there will be a discussion of Jewish liturgy, the concept of Shabbat, Jewish home skills and the holidays. Participants who would like to become Bar/Bat Mitzvah will be given the opportunity to schedule one; however, this is not a requirement of the course. Open to everyone.
